Lessons In Modesty & Honesty

That Boy Says He Loves Me

I wouldn’t resent you for a year tonight, I wouldn’t mind if you did.

I am not fond of change — neither of us are. So let’s not change, or if we do, let’s do it in a way we’re inseparable.

I want you to know I love you, more than can be put into words, more than my eldritch soul is capable of. For you are mine and in many ways I refuse to admit, I am yours.

The fire you light in my heart is one only you’re capable of.

But it’s more than that, really, because it’s not just my heart. I already said that though.

Yesterday I loved you, tonight I love you, and tomorrow I’ll love you.

All in more indescribable ways than the last.

I watch you, always, do you understand when I say you’re mine? You really are, so don’t ever run from me. Never.

Before you know it, those legs of yours will be useless and you’ll need me to get around.

It doesn’t matter if you like it or not, I’ll make sure of it.

Of course, I’ll always need you to see things from a perspective I can’t understand.

Do my words hold that much meaning to you? I want to convey that I love you, I do. Can’t you take that from all my actions?

I love you.
